All creativity that is live and not merely mechanical has to begin with the creator's inward awareness of himself and must pass from there to growing practical knowledge by him of how his reactions to the reluctance of the material to be shaped can be transformed by him into responsible actions which will, with sufficient application, in good time, turn into spontaneous behaviour. In that sense we can then speak of creative teaching and educating.
