The achievements of the Greek cavalry on the battlefield were monumental, and yet until now the heavy infantry - the hoplite - has received by far the most attention from military historians. This book traces the history of the Greek cavalry, offering a reassessment of the place of mounted troops in the warfare of Ancient Greece.
