Voicu Lupei, member of the Romanian Academy, is a Professor at the National Institute for Laser, Plasma and Radiation Physics in Bucharest, Romania. His research interests are in photonic materials, quantum electronics processes in doped laser materials, and applications of solid-state lasers.
