The Adventures of Derby & Charlie series takes key life lessons and shares them using Derby, a wise dog, and Charlie, a playful young cat. In the first of the series, Derby and Charlie go to play at the beach. Charlie sees a group of dogs and wants to play with them but is quickly confronted with peer pressure to make a decision. Charlie is rescued from real trouble by his brother Derby. When they return and tell their master Jim all that transpired, Jim takes the two animals through a valuable life lesson.
