Author: MacDonald, Kevin
Kevin MacDonald (Ph.D., University of Connecticut, 1981) is a Professor in the Department of Psychology at California State University-Long Beach. He has also served as a Visiting Professor at the University of Minnesota Institute of Child Development and at Trinity College and was a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the University of Illinois. He serves as editor of the journal Population and Environment. He teaches courses on Human Sociobiology/Evolutionary Psychology, Psychology of Child & Adolescent Development, and Social & Personality Development. He has written articles and three books on Judaism within a modern evolutionary perspective as part of the Praeger Evolution, Behavior, and Intelligence Series. In addition, he has authored articles and has written and/or edited three books on evolutionary psychology: Sociobiological Perspectives on Human Development (Springer-Verlag, 1988), Social & Personality Development: An Evolutionary Synthesis (Plenum, 1988), and Parent-Child Play: Descriptions & Implications (SUNY Press, 1993).
