Rutherford County natives Anita Price Davis and James M. Walker are honored to present Rutherford County in World War II, Volume II. An alumnus of Appalachian State and Duke Universities, Davis holds her doctorate and is The Charles A. Dana Professor of Education at Converse College in Spartanburg, South Carolina. She previously published Chimney Rock and Rutherford County with Barry Hambright and Rutherford County in World War II with James M. Walker. Walker is both a contract and freelance photographer and a school volunteer, recently retired after 31 years as an educator in the Rutherford County public schools.
