Timothy Miller used to shock his teachers with his intellect, his lust for reading, and an insurmountable lack of interest in academic achievement. He left home at fifteen, worked at a dairy farm, a meatpacking plant, a pickle factory, a casino, and as a bouncer. While repairing telephone lines in New Orleans after Katrina, he began including stories in letters to his daughter. When he returned, he bought a laptop, learned to type, and found his universe forever changed.
