Mehrotra received his B.S. in electrical engineering from Gengal Engineering College, Sibpur, India, his M.S. in electrical engineering from Nova Scotia Technical College, Halifax, Canada, and his Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Polytechnic Institute of New York. He is working as a member of the technical staff at The Analytic Sciences Corporation in Reston, Virginia. He as been an adjunct professorial lectural at George Washington University for the past 13 years, teaching graduate courses in communication engineering. He is a member of IEEE Communication and Computer Society.
