Roland Barksdale-Hall partnered with the Shenango Valley Urban League, Mercer County Historical Society, and Stey-Nevant Public Library to compile photographs and information for Images of America: Farrell--his second book in the series, the first being African Americans in Mercer County. A local historian and newspaper correspondent, he is recipient of the prestigious 2003 Afro-American Historical and Genealogical Society National History Award.
