Enh̬eduanna Publishing initiated, in collaboration with Assyrian Arts Institute, an annual Assyrian Youth Poetry Compitition.
The poems of all the finalist are published in an annual Assyrian Youth Poetry Collection. The Editorial Board of Enh̬eduanna Publishing selects the best three poems from among the finalists and the winners are granted with the rather presitigious awards of: Malpanitha Katy Ishu Award, Malpana Ninos Aho Award and Malpana Younan Hozaya Award.
The Assyrian Youth Poetry Collection is edited by Nineb Lamassu, one of the leading poets writing in modern Assyrian language.
This is the first such collection and it includes poems of fifteen Assyrian youth poets and 100 pages of poetry.
The theme to this year's collection is genocide and massacres with a special focus on the Assyrian genocide, Seyfo, and the more recent atrocities of ISIS against the Assyrians in Iraq and Syria.
