Author:
Owen, Emily
Emily grew up in Leicester, England. Aged 16 she was diagnosed with a rare neurological condition, which has resulted in numerous operations (major and minor), and left her deaf. She began an English degree but ill health and operations prevented her from completing it. Her love for the English language continues, however, in both verbal and written form. Emily speaks at various meetings and events, both Christian and secular, and enjoys sharing her life experiences. She also serves on the board of trustees of the Neuro Foundation, a national charity which supports those living with her medical condition and helps with research into treatments.
