Shaul Shay is a senior research fellow of the Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies and the International Policy Institute for Counter Terrorism (ICT) at the Interdisciplinary Center Herzeliya (IDC), Israel. He served in Israel's military intelligence department and was the deputy head of the National Security Council of Israel. Shay is the author and the editor of sixteen books and many articles.
