Jim Turner has a master's in U.S. history, was historian for the Arizona Historical Society, and teaches Arizona history at several local colleges. He is co-author of The Arizona Story (a Gibbs Smith textbook), has written for Arizona Highways, The Journal of Arizona History, and The Capitol Times; and contributes a monthly column, "Life in the Old Pueblo," to The Arizona Daily Star.
