James Mark Baldwin was an American philosopher and psychologist who helped start-up the department of psychology at Princeton University. He later on went to Johns Hopkins University where he was professor of psychology and philosophy. He is well noted for his work in the field of developmental psychology particularly the Baldwin Effect.
