Some can only be looked upon as of historical interest, while many, with slight modification, can be used today. - These recipes have been collected through the generosity of members of the Women's Institutes, in England and Wales, from their family records. At the present time such recipes are in danger of being lost owing to the passing of so many country houses as the centres of family life."
