Dr. Chaunda L. Scott is an Associate Professor and Graduate Coordinator in the Department of Human Resource Development (HRD) at Oakland University located in Rochester Michigan. She comes to Oakland by way of The University of Detroit Mercy, The White House, The Harvard Graduate School of Education and Teachers College/Columbia University. At Oakland University, Dr. Scott teaches a variety of HRD and organizational development courses in the undergraduate and masters program. She also teaches in the Honors College. Her scholarly research interests lie in workplace diversity education and training, HRD, workplace ethics, mentoring, and adult learning. Dr. Scott has as well published several peer-reviewed articles and book chapters in the above mentioned areas and presented her research at numerous international, national, and state conferences, including London England, Beijing China, and Limerick, Ireland.

In addition to the above, Dr. Scott is an active member of the Academy of Human Resource Development where she has served as chair of their Diversity Committee for the past four years. She is also the proud founder and president of the "Diverse Voices Initiative "which is a grant funded, Michigan higher education project that provides a supportive forum annually for Michigan higher education students to speak out on the importance of valuing all aspects of human diversity. In 2010, the Diverse Voices Initiative will celebrate its twelfth anniversary.
