Children's literature as such probably started in the 17th century in Europe; it is generally believed that before then books were written mainly for adults. In the Arab countries this literature began later. . In both societies East and west most printed works were hard to come by due to their cost and were mostly available for purchase only by upper class society. Scholarship on children's literature includes professional organizations, dedicated publications and university courses. In this book, a study of Children Literature and education is undertaken by a specialist in the field. Hoping that the content may benefit all interested of the topic, which is recently becoming most investigated topic in many Arab countries.
