"The Incident Happens As Written" is a multi-layered narrative; It deals with the lives of a group of people in a poor neighborhood, in the west-end Toronto, marginalized and punished by the power structure or by their own flaws. Among these, are two Iranians, one an ex-political prisoner, and the other a former teacher, who had been persecuted by the Iranian Regime, and had to flee their country of origin, and seek refuge in Canada, to find out that the new place is not a promised land either.
