Muhammad Mahdi Al-Jawahiri (1899 - 1997) was born in 1890 in Najaf in Iraq. The origin of "Al-Jawahiri" goes back to his Najafi, Iraqi family. Since the 11th century Hijri. He learned the basics of speech in Arabic literature and religion from two sources: Nahj al-Balagha and poetry from the works of Abu Tayyib al-Mutanabi.as his father required him to do. The poet began to read the Book of Eloquence and Demonstration by Al-Jahiz and the Muqaddimah by Ibn Khaldun, and collections of poetry. As a patriot he participated in the 1920 revolution against the British authorities. The selection of this book was in the process of Ihyaa al Turath al Arabi fil Mahjar (Revival of Arab Heritage in Diaspora ) project, sponsored by the Arab American Encyclopedia-USA. Both originated by the author, whose an Arab Palestinian American resides in Michigan -USA. Dr. Yahya has four childen and ten grandchildren, and has published over 270 books in recent years.
