Christopher Harris was born in London in 1951. After studying art he had an array of different jobs before returning to university for a degree in biology to teach science. He now writes full-time, dividing his time between homes in Birmingham, England and rural France, where he pursues an interest in food and wine. He is the author of Dedalus' Byzantine trilogy.
