Charles is a retired educator. He attended SUNY Oneonta with majors in elementary and early secondary education. Later he attained the Master's Degree in School Administration from Syracuse University. He became an elementary school teacher in New Berlin, New York and was later promoted to principal in Amsterdam, New York. Charles wrote two Young Adult books - Motocross Mike and Stock Car Sam. They are based on his love for motorsports and his love for motorcycle racing and riding dirt bikes for recreation. With "Alice the Drunken Cow", Charles turns his attention to writing for adults. The book contains many short stories - some fiction and some based on experience and growing up on a dairy farm in upstate New York. Other essays are concerned with current affairs both national and international. He writes for the blog www.letstalknevada.com. His writings have received much attention and many comments (both positive and negative)when they appear on the blog and in newspapers. Charles has three children and six grandchildren and resides in Nevada with his wife Virginia.
