This research-oriented intercultural communication textbook is aimed at students interested in exploring links between art, intercultural communication and community development as part of regional design. Through a variety of source materials, it highlights the dynamic relationship between identity and space - both physical and psychological - in intercultural contexts. A special focus is placed on dance and pottery-related activity related to language dynamics. It aims to stimulate interesting new lines of research into intercultural identity and intercultural space through case study research, participant observation and ethnographic fieldwork.
