Experience has shown those interested in implementing IIoT are likely doing so to reap the benefits of improved productivity. If the fundamental interest is in improved productivity, why not include improvement and IIoT terms together in a single reference book? It also makes little sense to automate something as is that is inefficient and should be upgraded. Hence, Abidian's original Continuous Improvement Dictionary (published in 2010) was expanded to include both Continuous Improvement and Industrial Internet of Things terminology.


About the Editor

With over 35 years of experience, Mike Chambers is a retired hands-on continuous improvement practitioner and long-time tinkerer of all things electronic. An electrical engineer by education, Mike is also a licensed master electrician and veteran Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP). As a Certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt (MBB), he has been independently recognized as a sensei for his working knowledge of Lean and the Toyota Production System. Mike has held leadership roles with three Fortune 500 companies and is the author of over two dozen books. When not traveling, Mike and his beautiful wife Kay enjoy hanging out at their home in Gulf Shores with their two neurotic cats.
