Dr. Wen-Chen Hu received a B.E. degree in Computer Science from Tamkang University, Taiwan, in 1984, an M.E. degree in Electronic and Information Engineering from the National Central University, Taiwan, in 1986, an M.S. degree in Computer Science from the University of Iowa, Iowa City, in 1993, and a Ph.D. in Computer and Information Science and Engineering from the University of Florida, Gainesville, in 1998. He is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science, University of North Dakota. His research interests are in the World Wide Web research and applications including information retrieval, especially electronic and mobile commerce, search engines, data mining, and databases.
