This Work explores the theme of emancipation, liberation and freedom of the nineteenth century subjugated and oppressed citizens of America and India. Despite belonging to the opposite ends of the globe, Emerson and Bhoi were fighting for justice, equality and honor of the people of their respective societies. The book has focused on the institutions of oppression, that is slavery in America and untouchability in India.
