This autobiography of Pandit Nilakantha Das, written in 1963, is remarkable in the sense it presents an account of the life and times of the then Odia society and the struggle of Odia people scattered in different provinces and feudatory states in the early and mid-twentieth century. It carries the traces of the illustrious lives of Nilakantha and many others to inspire the future generations. It received India's Central Sahitya Akademi award in 1964.
