Sage and her mother just moved to the charming, small town of Mulberry, into her mother's family home-the Calloway House. The Calloway House has been in her family for over one hundred years because of an old family superstition that a Calloway must always live in the house. When Sage's uncle puts the Calloway House up for sale, her mother insists they move in.

The kids at Sage's new school tell her that the house is haunted, and she is beginning to believe that they might be right. At night, the antique paintings that line the walls of Calloway House seem to come alive in the shadows.
