Healing the Biosphere: A Moral and Scientific imperative

AUTHOR Ammann Phd, Alan Phelps
PUBLISHER Independently Published (11/06/2018)
PRODUCT TYPE Paperback (Paperback)

Description
I wrote this book for no other reason than I am worried about long term human survival. I want to heal the Biosphere for my children and yours, but I believe that this can only happen if enough of humanity recognizes that healthy Biosphere is vital to that survival. I also believe that scientific arguments alone will not move humanity to act. I will attempt to show in this book that we must first know about the Biosphere in the scientific sense but also love it with what I can only describe as a religious reverence, for it is, despite its being an indifferent natural process, our creator. I propose that existing religions incorporate the belief that the discoveries of science are a valid form of divine revelation as ancient texts. I believe that this is necessary because we are driven by our beliefs not our knowledge. Allowing our scientific knowledge that our survival depends on a healthy Biosphere to inform our beliefs is, in my opinion, the only way only way to make the healing the Biosphere a moral imperative.
