Georgette es nueva en Los Estados Unidos. Ella est empezando quinto grado y no habla nada de ingls. Est intentando participar y hacer amigos en clase, pero no le va muy bien. Nadie habla su idioma criollo haitiano. Sin embargo, Georgette est determinada y ansiosa de ensearles a todos que no es perezosa, solo que no entiende. Acompaa a Georgette en este camino donde combate sus miedos y titubea en el uso de sus palabras, mientras avanza en su aprendizaje del ingls y en hacer amigos.

Georgette is new to the country. She is starting the fifth grade and does not speak any English. She is trying to participate and make friends in class, but it is not going well.
