Jon Lake is a freelance aviation and defence writer and journalist. Taught to fly by the University of London Air Squadron, RAF, while studying a modern history degree at Royal Holloway College, he worked for Aerospace Publishing, and was one of the founding editors of "World Air Power Journal," He subsequently compiled the Soviet and international military sections of J"ane's All The World's Aircraft," An Osprey author since 1988, Jon is presently the Defence Editor of "Flight Daily News," The author lives in Oxford, UK.
Chris Davey has illustrated more than 20 titles for Osprey's "Aircraft of the Aces," "Combat Aircraft" and "Aviation Elite Units" series since 1994. He is one of the last traditional airbrush artists in the business and has become Osprey's artist of choice for both USAAF fighters and RAF subject matter, proving his undoubted skill when dealing with large aircraft subjects such as the Halifax and Sunderland.Chris Davey lives in Nottinghamshire, UK.
