In the 1980s, young Christopher falls gravely ill while traveling with his parents in Africa. When a storm forces their seaplane down on a remote river, reality begins to blur with fevered imagination. Together with the pilot, copilot, and a local doctor, Christopher embarks on a surreal journey across a landscape where dinosaurs, mythic creatures, and the living and the dead collide. As danger mounts, Christopher must confront both the monsters around him and the fears within, discovering courage in a world shaped by his own dreams.
