Description

"Tanq?d?t-e-Fikr-e-Gh?mid?" is a collection of explanatory essays. These essays have been written to clarify the criticisms directed at the thoughts of the esteemed teacher, Javed Ahmed Ghamidi. Accordingly, they serve as responses to the objections that scholars from various schools of thought have raised from time to time. The author has carefully studied each objection, understood its reasoning, conducted a comparative analysis in light of relevant scholarly discussions, and then critically examined and responded to it with full responsibility.

The scholars whose critiques have been discussed in this book include:

  • Ahmed Javed
  • Mufti Muneeb ur Rahman
  • Maulana Yahya Numani
  • Maulana Irshad ul Haq Athari
  • Dr. Hafiz Muhammad Zubair
  • Dr. Muhammad Mushtaq

In the preface, while introducing the book, the well-known scholar and researcher Dr. ?Ammar Khan Nasir writes:

"...The essays included in this collection ostensibly revolve around a few specific discussions, such as the concept of Na?m al-Qur??n, the role of human nature in understanding religion and Shar??ah, and Javed Ahmed Ghamidi's perspective on Sunnah and ?ad?th. However, various critics have presented these questions as fundamental and principled objections to Javed Ahmed Ghamidi's thought. Therefore, these seemingly specific questions hold particular significance in this debate.

Syed Manzoor ul Hassan has been divinely gifted with an exceptional ability in writing and composition. With an extraordinary talent for analysis and explanation, when he takes up a subject for discussion, he generally leaves little room for ambiguity, obscurity, or unanswered questions for the reader. This innate excellence is particularly evident in the essays included in this collection." (p. 14)
