He has also written screenplay and dialogues for a feature film and a few documentary films. Veerindar Patwari, a retired Civil Engineer by profession, is deeply rooted in his environment and finds his inspiration around him. He suffered severe paralysis of all his four limbs and loss of speech in 1994. Despite his severe physical disability he has published 8 collections of his short stories and received 3 Urdu Academy awards since then which highlights his creativity and dedication to Urdu literature.
