संस्कृत महाकवि कालिदास के शाकुन्तलम् की छंद मीमांसा. कविवर कालिदास जी को यह अनुपम महाकाव्य लिखते समय वाणी को रसमय और सुंदरतम अलंकृत करने के साथ-साथ ही छंद-सूत्र के अनुसार लघु-गुरु मात्राओं की सुत्रबद्धता सिद्ध करने के लिए, क्या-क्या कष्ट झेलने पड़े थे उनकी सूक्ष्म मीमांसा सुव्यवस्थित रीति से यहाँ की गई है.

This is a Research Work on the Prosody of the epic Shakuntala of the Great Poet Laureate Kalidas. While writing this Epic, in order to make the language ornate and most beautiful, as well as to prove the coherence of the short and long vowels according to the formula of the meters, what intricacies he had to go through is explained here in a systematic manner. It is hoped that this study will inspire and provide ample material for the thinkers, students and the research scholars.
