The purpose of this study was to identify the perceptions and experiences of online adult art students regarding their self-proficiencies, quality of instruction, success strategies, barriers for completion, intentions, and motivations in online art programs. There are some indications that adult students struggle with learning art online and therefore become discouraged and drop out of their art programs. Insights and explanations into the issues of adult online art students' perceptions and experiences provided answers that may help art students make better progress in their studies.
