Pokazano, chto izmenenie ryada kharakteristik vechnoy merzloty pri potepleniyakh klimata opredelyaetsya vsey sovokupnost'yu svoystv menyayushchegosya vsled za potepleniem klimata landshafta i ego komponentov. Dokazyvaetsya, chto v opredelennykh landshaftnykh usloviyakh poteplenie klimata privodit ne k degradatsionnym tendentsiyam (povyshenie temperatury merzloty, uvelichenie ploshchadi talikov i dr.), a, naprotiv, k izmeneniyam agradatsionnogo tipa - ponizhenie ili stabilizatsiya temperatury vechnoy merzloty, uvelicheniyu ee l'dosoderzhaniya, umen'sheniyu tolshchiny sloya sezonnogo ottaivaniya.
