Description
Nowadays, concrete filled steel tube columns (CFST) are commonly used in composite construction. However, not many research studies are found on the application of a CFST together with a composite beam. This book is carried out to study the behaviour of a composite connections which include a combination of a 'CFST' and a composite beam. In this book, the composite connections was connected via two different types of innovative connections; blind bolt and thorough bolts and combined with the contribution of reinforcement bars in a slab to the tensile strength. Three dimensional (3-D) finite element (FE) modeling was used to investigate the structural behavior of this type of composite connections which are the moment- rotation and the stress distribution characteristic.
