Denture relining compensates the mucosal atrophy alveolar bone and connective tissue. Additionally soft relining materials, are often affixed to denture base surface in order to distribute and cushion the occlusal force more evenly during mastifcation and reduce the overall pain. Relining material layer is in practice an average of from 2 to 4 mm thick. It is used for full and partially removable prostheses and prosthetic supported construction.
