PUBLISHER LAP Lambert Academic Publishing (11/06/2013)
PRODUCT TYPE Paperback (Paperback)

Description
The rapid development in the semantic search technology gives motivation to build an efficient and scalable document annotation and retrieval techniques. Most existing methods and techniques in the field of document annotation and retrieval depend on English documents. Although the growing amount of Arabic content is being spread over the internet and other resources, there is little work carried out on Arabic semantic search and Arabic document annotation and retrieval. In this research we propose an approach for enhancing the process of information retrieval for Arabic language that depends on the ontology in the process of document annotation. The results of the approach show significant improvement in the process of documents retrieval depending on the two common evaluation criteria precision and recall.
