From Kaare Klint via Arne Jacobsen to Verner Panton, they informed the product and home decor culture of whole generations particularly in the latter half. However, that equally significant designers, craftspeople and internationally observed trends that preceded this era receives far less attention. Yet it is Sk nvirke, the Danish form of Art Nouveau, that created the basis for modern Danish design. In this comprehensive exhibition of Danish works, Art Deco trends are also featured as well as those of functionalism. 'Made in Denmark' was finally established as an international brand by 1945.
