AUTHOR Murakami, Haruki
PUBLISHER Planeta Publishing (08/27/2024)
PRODUCT TYPE Paperback (Paperback)

Description

ENGLISH DESCRIPTION

Seven intense stories about heartbreak and the complex relationship between men and women.

Haruki Murakami offers readers seven stories - including the one that inspired the winning film at Cannes 2021, at the Golden Globes and nominated for an Oscar, Drive my car - about the loneliness that precedes or follows the love relationship. Men who have lost a woman, or whose relationship has been marked by disagreement, witness the return of the ghosts of the past helplessly and are unable to establish full communication with their partner or see their love story strangely interrupted. Others experience tormented unrequited love or, even, as in the story starring a Kafkaesque metamorphosis, they are still unaware of the mechanisms of affection and sex.

However, the real protagonists of these stories are them, the women who, mysteriously, burst into men's lives and then disappear.
