Description
Events are events programmed in space and time, whose scope can be local, regional, national or international. In 2015, Brazil ranked 11th in the world and 3rd in the American continent in number of international events. The cities of S o Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Porto Alegre, Bras lia, Belo Horizonte, Florian polis, Recife, Salvador, Curitiba and Campinas were the best ranked in the world market. The exhibitions and trade fairs have recently gained notoriety, as they generate new markets for industrial products. In order to understand this phenomenon, the business events that disseminate the products of the Local Productive Arrangements (APLs) of the State of S o Paulo were examined in order to analyze the process of relocation of business events from less influential regions to cities with greater geographical influence. It is believed that events move to other locations when the scope of the event is incompatible with the area of influence of the city. Both inductive and comparative methods were employed, as well as indirect documentation techniques (bibliographic and documentary research) and direct documentation (interview).
