| PRODUCT TYPE | Paperback (Paperback) |
Description
SLM is defined by Terra Africa (2009) as an approach that promotes "the adoption of land use systems that, through the practice of appropriate management, enable users to optimize the economic and social benefits of the land (food, water, energy, etc.) while maintaining or enhancing the ecological support functions of land resources (land, water, biodiversity)".Indeed, the integration of the SLM dimension into planning tools is a step in the process of changing the living environment of local authorities in Mali. It is one thing to integrate and another to monitor implementation. Thus, participatory implementation and monitoring-evaluation of the identified actions are necessary, which will contribute to better decision-making, but also to the capacity building of actors and the sustainability of interventions.
