Palm kernel cake, is a cheap, and readily available agro-industrial by-product resulting from the processing of palm kernel nuts into vegetable oil. Palm kernel cake has been used as a moderate protein, and energy source in the diets different livestock, such as dairy cow, pig, rabbit, laying hen, and broiler chicken, mostly because of its availability, and low cost when compared to other common feed ingredients.This text is the major outcome of a symposium organized in December 2017 by the Nigerian Poultry Feeds Research and Development (NIPOFERD) to harness the current research information on palm kernel cake utilization in animal production in Nigerian, and beyond. The articles were based on reviews, and results of recent research activities in Nigerian universities, and polytechnics. The book contains twenty articles divided into two section, viz; the scienceofpalm kernel cake utilizationinanimal production (eight articles), and the feeding valueofpalm kernel cakeforpoultry, and pigs (twelve articles). Although the articles were written with enough technical depth, farmers, and industrialistshaving agricultural, and allied sciences background will also find them useful.
