Micro-cutting CNC Technology for Porous Titanium Artificial Bones

AUTHOR Wenjun, Zhou; Zhiqiang, Liu
PUBLISHER LAP Lambert Academic Publishing (05/14/2025)
PRODUCT TYPE Paperback (Paperback)

Description
With the growth of market demand and the diversification of product specifications, artificial bone processing technology is entering a whole new phase. The use of multi-axis artificial bone machining equipment and CNC systems for precision cutting and processing brings advantages such as stable manufacturing accuracy, reduced processing costs, and easy implementation of personalised production. However, the domestic self-developed CNC system for artificial bone machining has limitations in terms of single machining object, smaller machining size, and simpler machining features. In order to solve this problem, this project proposes the development task of an open artificial bone machining CNC system based on motion controllers, aiming to develop a system suitable for the machining of multi-species, large-size and complex morphological objects. The main research includes hardware platform design, software development, process knowledge base design and post-processor customisation. The system has been verified by simulation experiments and can meet the processing requirements of artificial bone objects.
