Most Brazilian soils are highly acidic, and the presence of a high concentration of aluminium ion becomes one of the limiting factors in agricultural production, as it impairs plant growth by inhibiting root elongation. We therefore sought to study the deleterious effects caused by aluminium ion in a hydroponic system on the growth of bean species based on physiological parameters.
