Today, dental implants are the first choice for replacing missing teeth, due to the ever-increasing aesthetic and functional demands of patients.However, such restorations are only possible if the bone and gingiva are qualitatively and quantitatively satisfactory. Indeed, bone and gum defects can represent an obstacle to this procedure.Various surgical procedures have been proposed to augment unfavorable bone and gingival volume, such as: autogenous bone grafts, guided bone regeneration and osteogenesis by alveolar distraction, dentin substitutes.
