The book focuses on a different approach to improve DTC performance with different inverter topologies (Multilevel Inverter) in order to overcome torque distortion. Diode clamped seven level and nine level inverters is proposed in this book to alleviate the problems in conventional DTC scheme and also sliding mode observer based control for DTC of induction motor is proposed to minimize the starting currents, torque ripples and steadystate error in the developed torque.
