The Indian Constitution, a monumental document born from the crucible of a nation's struggle for independence, embodies a vision of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity. Crafted with painstaking deliberation by the Constituent Assembly, it was envisioned as a beacon to guide a diverse and complex society toward a cohesive and equitable future. Yet, as I embarked on this project, I was struck by a persistent question: why, despite its lofty ideals and undeniable resilience, does the Constitution often fail to satisfy the aspirations of millions of Indians in practice?
