Description
This book presents an undergraduate study on the reading difficulties faced by university students regularly enrolled in the Pedagogy, Administration, Accounting and Literature courses at a private college located in the city of Palmas, Tocantins. Based on the notion that academics have difficulty with reading, the problem was raised: "The Difficulty of Academics with Reading: What is the Question?". We investigated in the field: what governs the difficulty with reading that is present in the higher education student body of the institution investigated. The results revealed that the majority of students enjoy reading and have a reading habit. However, there are students who don't have the habit of reading and don't enjoy reading, but who dedicate themselves to it eventually in order to fulfill their university obligations. The discrepancy seems to be justified by a possible embarrassment at declaring themselves non-readers.
